Seda Aydin

Seda Aydin is a PhD candidate in Political Science at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. She holds a double major degree in political science and sociology and an MA degree in sociology from Boğaziçi University, Istanbul. Her PhD project, which she conducts under the supervision Prof. Eva Østergaard-Nielsen, investigates the processes of political socialisation of the German Turkish return migrants. She also contributes to two research projects leaded by Prof. Østergaard-Nielsen, Transnational Political Incorporation and Emigrant Political Incorporation.
Mehmet Fatih Aysan

Mehmet Fatih Aysan is Associate Professor of Sociology at Istanbul Sehir University. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Western Ontario (2011) and thought Sociology in the same university (2010-2012). His sociological interests are rooted at the intersection of demography, family, sociology of work, and social policy. His study centers on how labour markets and social policies combine to influence the welfare of societies. His research projects have been supported by the EU, IDRC, and TUBITAK. Dr. Aysan’s work has appeared in edited books and peer-reviewed journals such as Routledge, Palgrave, Springer, Population & Development Review, Canadian Journal of Sociology, Emerging Markets & Finance.
