Pedro Gois
Pedro Góis is a Professor in Sociology Methodology at the Faculty of Economics, University of Coimbra, and a Researcher at CES. He is an expert in sociology of migration and quantitative methodologies. Recently he was consultant or country expert for the OIM, Caritas International, ICMPD, European Commission or European Migration Network (EMN). His most recent research-driven publications used quantitative and qualitative methodologies and include papers and books on: refugees in Europe; Portuguese immigration and emigration; Brazilian migration or Eastern European migrants; discrimination practices in the labour market; immigrants’ descendants; and diasporic engagement practices and policies. |
José Carlos Marques
José Carlos Marques is Professor at Polytechnic Institute of Leiria and researcher Interdisciplinary Centre of Social Sciences (CICS.NOVA). He holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Coimbra (2008). José Carlos Marques has coordinated or participated in several research projects on international migration. His areas of interests are Portuguese migration flows, Portuguese diaspora, migrant’s integration, migrants’ transnational practices, migration policies, and highly skilled migration. His recent projects are on current Portuguese emigration flows, on discrimination practices in the labour market, on emigrant engagement practices and policies, and on return aspirations and experiences of recent emigrants. |

Nazaré Saldanha Póvoas da Costa Cabral
Nazaré da Costa Cabral holds a license degree (1994), a Masters (1998), and a PhD (2007) in law, from Lisbon Law School (Faculdade de Direito, Universidade de Lisboa), and she holds a license degree in economics (2015), from Nova SBE – School of Business & Economics (Universidade Nova de Lisboa). Nazaré is Associate Professor in tenure, in Lisbon School of Law. She also lectures in other Universities, either in Portugal or abroad. Nazaré is principal researcher of the Center for European, Economic, Fiscal and Tax Law Research (CIDEFF) of Lisbon School of Law (Group IV on ‘Crises, Public Policies, Fiscal Policy and the Euro’) and she is vice-president of the journal Revista de Finanças Públicas e Direito Fiscal (Public Finances and Tax Law Journal). Nazaré is author of several books, articles and working papers, and her research areas are mainly on Public Finances, Social Security, and Economic and Monetary Integration. |
